So sad!!Pregnant Woman, Two others killed in Abuja Auto Crash

A pregnant woman and two other persons have been killed in a fatal accident involving a tipper and a Peugeot car at Mpape Junction along Kubwa Express Way in Abuja.

 The accident, which occurred at about 1.30pm, involving a tipper with plate number JAL 315XA and a Peugeot Car with plate number BWR 733AR, attracted sympathizer who rushed to the scene of the incident to rescue victims.

The victims were immediately rushed to Maitama Hospital by men of the Maitama Police Division.

 An eyewitness, who pleaded anonymity, said the accident was caused by the tipper vehicle carrying gravels, which lost control due to break failure and passed through a narrow bye-pass into the Peugeot car at the express road.

 The eyewitness said, “The tipper just lost control and I think is because it failed break and pulled all these slabs and smashed this car. I don’t think anyone them will survive this accident.”

 The incident instantly claimed the lives of the tipper driver, a pregnant woman and another young lady in the Peugeot Car, while the driver of the car sustained serious injury.

 A survivor of the accident, who was rescued by sympathizers, from the tipper was still in shock when our correspondent made effort to talk to him and could not even mutter a word.

 It took the combined efforts of men of the Maitama Police division and the officers of the FCT Federal Road Safety Corps command to control the traffic the incident caused. They, however, declined to comment on the incident.

Shocking!! UNILAG Babe Kidnapped And Raped by three friends

 Police Arraign Three For Kidnapping, Raping UNILAG Student, 22-year-old female student of the University of Lagos, Tolulope Titiloye, who was kidnapped and raped by three friends, who later posted her nude photos on the social media, is now in court to get justice.

 Three friends - Bashorun Babajide, Aje Olumayowa, and Babajide Ajayi - had molested her, took photos of her without clothes and threatened to share the photos if she exposed them. Tolulope had kept quiet about the sad incident but trouble started when her family members saw her nude photos on the internet.

Within few days of the upload, the nude photographs went viral on social media, exposing Tolulope to ridicule and shame.

Consequently, the three bad guys were rounded up and arrested. They have been arraigned before the Tinubu Magistrate’s Court, Lagos State, for kidnapping and raping.

According to police, after assaulting her, Babajide, Mayowa and Ajayi also attempted to murder Tolulope on the day of the incident in April, 2013.

Hence, they were arraigned for kidnap, rape, assault, battery, unlawful detention and attempted murder. When the charges were read to them, the three friends pleaded not guilty.

Magistrate S.K Matepo granted them bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties each and adjourned the case till October 2 for hearing.

Enugu-based, fast-rising Nollywood actor Benson Okonkwo is probably the most talked about in the industry because of his daring roles, which many people, according to him, “continue to wrongly associate with his real life personality.”

 Here's what Ben said in an  interview with Blueprintng.com

 

• Talking about the movie that brought you out, there is a particular movie about gays which has gotten you more accusations and criticisms than accolades. Could you talk about it?

I have promised myself that I will no longer talk about the movie. It’s really funny that Nigeria is a country where people attribute an actor’s role to his real life character. 

If I’m given a role to play and I played it excellently, does that make me that character in reality? Yet, it is the same Nigerians who will be first to point fingers at those actors that do not act their movie roles well. 

It’s quite funny that because I played a gay role then I’m automatically gay. So if I played the role of a police officer, does that makes me one? I just have to thank my fans who repose so much confidence in me, that’s all.

• Are you saying that you are not truly homosexual like a whole lot of people believe?

My brother, what else do you want me to tell you. Please, I’m very busy.

• Most of your fans have been asking why you had to star in such a movie, yet you keep denying that you are not gay.

I just told you I was doing my job. Period! Why should I call myself an actor if I can’t play a movie 

role perfectly? Tell me! 

And there is another issue here: I’ve noticed that so many people, because of their own mischevious and dirty minds, would fail to look past the sexual scenes in a movie when there are way too many morals to learn. Like most movies, that movie you are talking about was used to pass a message across to the public. 

But if some people refuse to grab those messages and choose to focus on those things that satisfy their lustful and mischievous minds, then it’s no one’s fault.

• I also heard there is a new movie you just did in which you acted totally nude in a scene. Tell us about it.

The name of the movie is “James Town.” It was directed by an A-list Nollywood director and scriptwriter, Ifeanyi Onyearbor.

 My manager, Mr Brown Ene, is a good manager and he called me up and we negotiated and I took the role. It’s a must-see movie. 

Now before you start to asking me why and crucifying me, that’s the character I was givien to play. It warrants me to go nude at a point in the movie. It’s a serious movie. 

So like I said, as an actor your ability to interpret any role given to you is what makes you a good one. So Nigerians should understand that I was only doing my job. it’s just a movie. It’s a ghetto movie and I was one of the lead characters in it. I also took the role because the pay was so right. It’s coming out soon; I’m sure people will enjoy it. It starred Nollywood stars like Queenth Hilbert, Patience Ozorkwo a.k.a Mama G, Gbenga Richard and musician, Vicko Kings. It will be available in all cinemas.

• You are obviously one of the few actors not afraid to go to any length when it comes to your job. What challenges do you face, especially from the public?

The challenge is nothing more than the regular criticism. You come out in public and when people recognise you, they start to look at you strangely. But I’ve developed a very tough skin to criticisms. 

I have come to the realization that whatever you do, even if all you do is just do nothing, say nothing, fold your arms and close your eyes, people will always criticize you no matter who you are, so just do what makes you happy as long as you know you are not hurting anyone. 

I will always be grateful to my fans who have been encouraging me.

• How did you join showbiz?

I started modeling at age 16 and started acting professionally at the age of 23. I have always loved entertainment. I used to act when I was in primary and secondary schools. 

Even in our church, a Catholic church, I acted every Good Friday. I used to take the part of Jesus Christ.  

I also did dramas with friends at home. My mom noticed this talent, called me and said ‘Benson, you have to go into acting professionally.’ She gave me some money to register with Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), which I did in the year 2008.

 Since then, I have featured in over 30 movies and I’m still counting. Also, I have modeled for Zain (now for Airtel), Wema Bank, Nestle, Gold Circle Condom, Rainbownet, First Bank, Orange Drugs and many too numerous to mention. I have lost count, but I give God the glory.

• Apart from acting, you also run a boutique and saloon.

Yes, I have love for fashion and beauty.  I’m known for looking good. My nickname is Mr. Packaging and I was nicknamed that because of my dress sense. It’s just simply because of the way I combine colours and all. 

My salon and boutique are in Enugu; Colectibus Unisex Salon. It’s where my fellow actors come to have their hair done, and also my fans. I went into the fashion business because of my love for fashion and style and to reach out to my fans. It’s an exquisite place for distinguished and sophisticated individuals.

• You are currently one of the candidates for the “Sexiest in Nollywood” contest. Could you throw more light on that?

I was nominated for Nollywood Sexiest Actor both in the Ghana and Nigerian categories. We were above 150 when we started the quest and now we’ve been screened to 20 and I’m on the top five. I thank my fans for their votes so far. 

I believe that I’m going to win because I’ve got a charming smile, great height, romantic eyes and good posture and I’m a head turner any day. 

Jim Iyke won the first edition and Desmond Elliot won the second. I’m in the top with the likes of Ramsey Noah, Yule Edochie, Van Vicker and John Dumelo. It’s strictly by vote and I believe I’ll win with the help of my fans who have been voting.

• You sound like someone who has got the ladies at your fingertips?

That’s normal. I won’t deny that I’m a lady’s man, but one needs to be very disciplined. My mom taught me to be disciplined and treat ladies well.

Boy who flew benin to lagos on Arik tyre gets sponsorship offer

A volunteer group by the name De Raufs has offered to sponsor 15year old stowaway teenager, Daniel Ohikhena who sensationally hid in the tyre compartment of Arik air flight from Benin to Lagos.

In a statement signed by the Director General of the group, Comrade Amitolu Shittu, the group stated that it  is ready to give scholarship to Daniel up to university level and help him realise his dream of

travelling by air legitimately.

Leadershipng reports the statement reads:

We are  sincerely willing to offer him the scholarship in other to encourage thousands of teenagers who are genius and ambitious.

Man Plead Guilty To Stealing Dad's Body From Cemetery

A man accused of stealing his father’s body from a Detroit cemetery with the hope of bringing him back to life has pleaded guilty in exchange for avoiding prison.
Vincent Bright pleaded guilty Monday to a charge of disinterring a body. He faces sentencing Sept. 24 in Wayne County Circuit Court.
“He seems to be doing well,” defense lawyer Gerald Karafa told The Associated Press on Tuesday.
In exchange for the guilty plea, he said Bright will get probation with credit for time served. The judge ruled that Bright could be released on bail, Karafa said.
A presentencing review will help determine the details of Bright’s probation, he said.
A conviction on the disinterring a body charge could have brought up to 10 years in prison.
Bright, then 48, stole the body of 93-year-old Clarence Bright from Gethsemane Cemetery on Jan. 14 and stored it in a home freezer. Police, acting on a tip from other family members, found the corpse in Vincent Bright’s home on Detroit’s east side.
Police said Vincent Bright is religious and took the body in hopes his father would be resurrected.
Prosecutors sought a mental health examination for Bright, and he was found competent to stand trial.

Amazing!!! Obasanjo Builds Nigeria- Made Jet Car(photo)

A wannabe aviator, Mr. Kehinde Durojaiye Obasanjo, built a locally made engine in a contraption that runs on road and sea.

SaharaTV found him operating the contraption in Ikeja to attract minor donors who collected his Compact Disk in which he said he recorded its operation on water.

Mr. Obasanjo said he designed it to operate on three mediums: Land, water and air, but has only achieved two due to financial constraints. But for now, the invention can only run on Land and water.

He said he had contacted State Governments of Lagos and Ogun to find support, but he only got their promise since beginning of 2013.

Fuel Tanker burst into fire in Ibadan Killed Three,Injured Five.

A fuel tanker burst into flames at Orogun junction in Ibadan, Oyo State capital, killing three and injuring five persons. The deaths however cannot be immediately confirmed.
Firemen who were called to the scene to douse the flames were said to have rushed the victims to the hospital. The firemen however, denied reports that three persons died in the incident.


Eyewitnesses said the fuel tanker caught fire when the fuel it was carrying was being transferred to another tanker.
Apart from the burnt tanker and injured persons, about eight shops and two Sport Utility Vehicles were also burnt.
The incident reportedly happened around 1 p.m.
Sources said vehicle owners who had parked by the roadside were seen scrambling to get to their cars to hurriedly evacuate their vehicles.

Gaddafi's Son To Stand Trial Next Month

The son and the spy chief of the dead Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi have been charged with murder in relation to Libya’s 2011 civil war and will stand trial next month.
The prosecutor general Abdel Qader Radwan said the trial of the two-Gaddafi’s son Saif al-Islam and the deposed leader’s spy chief Abdullah el-Senoussi – will start on September 19.




The two face charges over alleged crimes committed during Gaddafi’s 42-year rule and during the eight-month civil war in which he was killed.
Last February, the International Criminal Court had ruled that Libya cannot give Gaddafi’s son a fair trial and asked authorities to hand him over to The Hague-based court.
Libya wants to prosecute him at home, where he might face the death penalty, rather than hand him to the ICC where he could only receive a jail sentence.

Nasarawa Assembly Shut Down Till Further Notice As Hoodlums Attack Lawmakers

Until the security of members of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly is guaranteed, lawmakers will no longer hold sittings, the Speaker of the Assembly, Musa Mohammed has said.


Mr. Mohammed spoke at a news conference on Tuesday in Lafia in the presence of the state commissioner of police, Umaru Shehu.
According to PREMIUM TIMES, hundreds of youths earlier yesterday  invaded the Assembly complex pelting it with stones and other weapons after the state governor, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura, appeared before the lawmakers following his summon.
The incident might not be unconnected with purported plans by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) dominated House of Assembly to impeach the governor following his non-implementation of its resolutions.

WEIRD:Two Kenyan Men Agree to marry the same Woman

Two Kenyan men have signed an agreement to “marry” the same woman, reports say.
The woman had been having affairs with both men for more than four years and apparently refused to choose between them.
The agreement sets out a rota for Sylvester Mwendwa and Elijah Kimani to stay in her house and states they will both help raise any children she bears.
Lawyers said their “marriage” would be legally recognised if they could prove polyandry was part of their custom.
‘Jealousy’
Mr Mwendwa and Mr Kimani drafted the agreement after realising they had both been having an affair with the woman in Mombasa County for more than four years, the local Daily Nation newspaper reports.
Community policing officer Adhalah Abdulrahman persuaded the two men to marry the woman after he saw them fighting over her, it reports.
“We have agreed that from today we will not threaten or have jealous feelings because of our wife, who says she’s not ready to let go of any of us,” the agreement says, Kenya’s NTV station reports.
“Each one will respect the day set aside for him. We agree to love each other and live peacefully. No-one has forced us to make this agreement,” it adds.
Mr Mwenda said her parents had given their blessing, while he is planning to pay the bride price.
The woman, a widow with two children, did not want to be named.
Kenyan family lawyer Judy Thongori told the Daily Nation that the law does not explicitly forbid polyandry – a woman having more than one husband.
“The laws we have do not talk about it but for such a union to be recognised in Kenya, it has to be either under the statutory law or as customary marriage. The question we should ask now is whether these people come from communities that have been practising polyandry,” she is quoted as saying.
Polygamous marriages often take place in Kenya, but wife-sharing is unheard of, correspondents say.

The Cameroon striker had initially been wavering between a return to Inter Milan or move to Chelsea, with the Blues only offering a one-year contract.

ASSU STRIKE:FG Breaks off ASSU Negotiation, To introduce student Loan

Latest on the on going ASUU STRIKE- The Nigerian Government has decided to break off negotiation with the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) over what it called the infiltration of the union by the opposition to discredit the government.

SaharaReporters gathered that as the committee set up by the Nigerian government to negotiate with the union gave a verdict of non-compromise on the part of the union and ‘security report’ of the infiltration of the opposition, it decided to break the negotiation.
It was revealed that the committee had reported to the government that the union had remained ‘rigid and unbending’ to suggestions on how to agree on some of the issues it was agitating for so as to end the strike which had entered its ninth week.
The committee had told the government that the union leaders were arrogant and selfish as their interest was paramount to that of their students who had been at home all this while.
The government after the report told the committee members that it had fresh security report that the union’s stance on the lingering crisis in the education sector was as a result of the opposition’s infiltration into the union.
It said the opposition wants to portray the government as irrational and uncaring to the plight of the lecturers and their students as well as present the government in bad light to Nigerians and the international community.
The government in breaking the negotiation has decided to fund individual student’s education as it is done in advanced countries.
As a way of making nonsense of the industrial action by ASUU, SaharaReporters gathered that the government plans to introduce loans to the students throughout their period in the university so as to cushion the effect of the financial hardship on the students.
The government expects the students to re-pay the loans after graduation provided they get jobs of their choice. It however could not be ascertained how the loan to the students would compel the lecturers to call off the strike.
The National President of ASUU, Dr. Nasir Fagee, had last week during a press conference at the University of Lagos, Nigeria said the union had pulled out of the negotiation between the union and the Nigerian government citing insincerity as reason for its decision, adding that the union would not call off its strike until the agreement the government signed with the union in 2009 is honoured.

Female Sex Education Teacher Rapes 14-Year-Old student

A sexual education and health teacher at a Massachusetts high school has been indicted on rape charges after prosecutors said she had a s*xual relationship with a student.

Rachelle Gendron, 27, was fired from her job at North Central Charter Essential School in Fitchburg following an investigation in which police allegedly recovered “significant” evidence of inappropriate conduct, including text messages and photos of the teacher “in various states of undress with private parts and br**sts exposed,” from the phone of a 14-year-old male student.
In court Friday, Gendron appeared crying and visibly shaken as she was arraigned on charges including five counts of r*pe aggravated by age difference.
Gendron is accused of having s*x with the victim three times in October 2012, once in January 2013 and then again in March. She is also accused of enticing the boy, according to indictments.
Gendron was released on $2,000 bail. She is not allowed to have contact with the victim, teach or have contact with children under 16 years old, according to the Sentinel and Enterprise.
A school official told the newspaper that Gendron, who had been living with her parents in town, had taught at the school for five years.
Gendron pleaded not guilty to all charges against her. If convicted, each count of r*pe carries a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in prison.

• And how are they taking the whole divorce issue?

We are not really divorced. It’s still a work-in-progress kind of thing but we are taking it well. When its time for him to see the children, he does and when its time to return them, he does. On my part, I 

have carried the children along and make them understand they are not stained because of it. I wouldn’t want them to develop a complex because of it. We didn’t design for these things to happen but they do. It's like people who have lost their parents, they didn’t plan for it but they have to move on. I watch them and I think they are doing pretty okay especially because we talk about it every time there is a reason to.

• You mentioned that you aren’t really divorced. Does that suggest possibility of reconciliation?

No, it doesn’t. We just started the process but there isn’t any hope for reconciliation. We know we would always be in each other’s lives because of the children, so we have to be civil. When the children are getting married for example, we have to hide our differences and make it work.

• What if he (Frank) came back, would you consider it?

No. Three years have gone by. It will be a whole entire process of knowing somebody all over again and I don’t have the energy to do that. We’ve let it burn and I don’t think he will do that.

• Do you sometimes miss him?

He had such a great sense of humor. I don’t know if he still does. His sense of music too, being a radio presenter, and we used to exchange thoughts on things regarding that, but otherwise, I don’t miss him in that nostalgic way of…It’s a part of my life I have come to terms with. I am a solution oriented person. He was part of my life for more than 10 years (dated for four years and got married for 7 years).

• Looking back at everything, do you wish you never got separated?

No, I think Frank and I should not have gotten married in the first place. We should just have been friends because he was an awesome friend. While I was dating someone else and he had to go back to his country, he (Frank) was there all through and I had known him all the while he was in the University of Calabar and we started our career together. I think we shouldn’t have pushed it to marriage and just stayed as friends.

No. I have three lovely kids to show for it and of course, every thing happens for a reason and a purpose. They can only make us better or stronger people and it has done so for me. I have grown from what went wrong.

• What is usually the cause of the fight?

I think it's impatience, anger and not knowing how to deal with issue in the now, so you react before you think. It goes like, ‘huh, how dare you say this to me…is that what you will say?’ I can’t remember any one in particular, it has been long now, I have moved on and it’s not a thing that can happen to me again but I always say no matter what, a man should not raise his hands on a woman. A woman should also not goad a man too much. It takes nothing from the man who walks away because once he hits a woman, he starts to think it is justifiable. Unfortunately, we are in a society where we have friends that will give you thumbs up for doing that. A man should be calmer and not react on the now.

• Are you making efforts to ensure that your son isn’t wrongly influenced by this?

I have a son and I talk to him all the time. I let him know he must be there to protect his sister. They should look at him and feel safe with him and he knows that. The girls also push him and I caution them, so it’s a balance.

• Were you hit by the rumors of his recent marriage?

I didn’t want to believe he was because we are still married (legally). We are not divorced, so I didn’t see how that was possible and didn’t loose sleep over it. I’m not asking him not to go on with his life but things should be done properly. We are separated for three years and now in the divorce process. If he found happiness and love, then I’m happy for him.

• Will you be trying your hands on marriage again?

You just never know.

• If you would, what kind of man would he be?

You come to a point in your life where you can’t afford to do things out of adrenaline but with great thought. It would be a more mature person, someone who is calm and has a fine sense of how life should be. Someone who is mature, wise and seen life and the ways of the world and knows what he is doing at every time.

• When you think about all that has happened, does it bring tears to your eyes?

No, I feel a sense of disappointment instead especially now when the children come home with questions that I need a man to answer, if he (their father) were around. For example, someone to be there for my son at a time when he is writing his common entrance examination. It’s a feeling of disappointment, but you know, we have to rise above them and you go on.

• What was your reaction the very first time it happened?

I’m like these things happen in marriages but we think of reconciliation and getting families involved. It is your first trial in marriage and nobody gives a guideline about how things are going to be.

• Apart from being part of the Project Alert, what other steps have you taken to help women who are battling with domestic violence?

I talk to them but in the end, I let them know, the decision is theirs. A friend of mine was involved in this and after we talk, she will go back to him. No matter what platform there is, it rests on the individual. It is what I have arrived at. I still share my story when I have the chance to.

Mourinho Gives Rooney 48 Hours to Decide on his Future.

Chelsea boss Jose Mounrinho has drawn the line on the prospect of having Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney at Stamford Bridge before the close of the transfer window by midnight of September 2.

uneventful 0-0 draw between the Premier League champions and ‘The Blues’ at Old Trafford and was probably the brightest player on the pitch.
He was the one player on the pitch whose name was chanted about by a cross section of both sets of fans at the game last night with the traveling fans rendering: “Wayne Rooney, we’ll sign you next week.”
Mourinho praised the old Trafford faithful for getting behind their wantaway forward amidst uncertainties concerning his future.

“If that is his decision we will respect that and say it is over. If now he does not want to leave, we are out of the thing but we need to know what is happening.”
Rooney returned to United’s starting lineup, after former manager Sir Alex Ferguson revealed last season the striker, who joined from Everton in 2004, wants to part ways with the club.
Interestingly, he started against his primary suitor who would offer him a first-team shirt as against the second fiddle many had expected him to play for the champions this season.
Nevertheless, the new United boss, who had said he would need Rooney “if for any reason we (United) had an injury to Robin (van Persie),” named the trio alongside Danny Welbeck in his starting lineup, while Mourinho started the cautious game with non of his recognised strikers.
When asked by the BBC Sport whether Chelsea will continue with their efforts to sign the United striker, Mourinho said: “We didn’t start the story. Someone started the story by him saying he wanted to go to Chelsea.

So somebody has to finish it. One way or another way. He has to say ‘I want to leave’ or ‘I want to stay.’

Asked how long he was prepared to wait before drawing on his plan Bs and Cs, Mourinho replied: “Twenty-four hours, forty-eight hours.”
“If you look at a manager like me, a club like us and the people who works at the club with me, we are not silly enough to try and get a player from a big club that doesn’t want to sell,” he added.
“We are not silly enough to try something if somebody didn’t start it.”

I broke up with my fiancé, our relationship had become a battle field and we were just not getting pass that phase, the last straw was him cheating and impregnating a girl.

I was civil with the girl and told her to inform my fiancé’s family about the baby, despite the fact that he denied that he was not responsible for the pregnancy. Then, I also went ahead to inform my mother-in-law of what happened; how his son cheated and impregnated another lady and my plight to leave him.
It was hell but I bore it, my “fiancé” kept apologizing and denying being responsible for the pregnancy, but I kept pleading with him to be there for the baby. Note that, it is not that I don’t love him anymore, he is the love of my life but I was willing to let go for the sake of that child because I know that I can never accept another woman’s child as my own and I can never let a man deny his child for my sake.
Just when I’m getting stronger, this girl dropped a bombshell! — “hi, I lied because I was hurt, I’m not pregnant”.
Guys, this girl does not realize that this is my KING, but I gave him up for her child’s sake. I could have worked pass the infidelity but the child was my first priority. Now I’m between a rock & a hard place. I love my man but I don’t know what to make of this; is it a lesson from God, a test, a revelation? I am utterly confused!
Oh, by the way, must I kick this girl’s a*s just for lying to me and causing my relationship havoc?
